Abu Dhabi's Saif Al Khaili Group has decided to manufacture caustic soda and chlorine derivatives in order to meet the growing demand of local industries, including oil, steel, aluminium and chemicals.
The plant is expected to have a production capacity of 400,000 tonnes per year. The Emirates Chemical Factory is the first of its kind manufacturing unit in the country and will increase UAE's non-oil GDP.
This plant will also reduce reliance on imports and contribute to the growth of local markets.
