Taiwan based Oriental Petrochemical (OPTC) has shut down its PTA unit no 2 for maintenance turnaround. The unit was shut down in the second half of Jan and will remain off-stream for around three weeks. Unit is based at Kwan Yin in Taiwan and has the production capacity of 4, 90,000 tonnes/ year.
