OCI Nat gasoline is operating its Methanol plant at full capacity in Beaumont in Texas. The full capacity operation has been achieves since last few months.
The plant, owned 50:50 by CEL and Netherlands-based OCI, is the largest methanol production facility in the US. Production started at the end of June after the plant was mechanically completed in April. The startup of the plant is one of the most important developments for the market in the second half of this year, according to market sources.
With the addition of the Nat gasoline plant, US methanol production stands at about 7.5 million mt/year.
