In the month of June ACN unit was shut down in China. The other unit no 3 was shut down early in the mid of August. These units have not resumed their production yet. Reason behind their shut down has been due to environmental issues. The Chinese government has been closely investigating the environmental impact of chemical plants in the country which in turn led to shut down of these ACN units.
The unit no1 has the production capacity of 1,106,000 mt/year and is expected to go on-stream by end of this year. The other unit no 3 has the production capacity of 1,20,000 mt/year and may go on-stream by October.
