BASF has announced that it wills start the construction of its new MDI unit in the next quarter of 2018. The unit is based at Geismar, Louisiana in Texas, USA. The blueprint has been designed in advance in 2016. “The new plant is an important step to double BASF’s annual MDI capacity in Geismar from 300,000 tonnes to close to 600,000 tonnes in the medium term,” the company said in a statement.
