US based Celanese has announced six different maintenance turnarounds in this year. The exact maintenance schedule has not been specified by the company officials. The total cost could run $60m-90m, but Rohr said it would have little impact on earnings. “Long-term, they don’t really affect the numbers,” specied by company’s head.
Celanese has also started the final large-scale installation of critical processing equipment associated with the 150,000 mt expansion of the Clear Lake, Texas, VAM unit, the company said in its Q1 results.
