Delhi which is known as the capital of India has covered itself with toxic chemicals from few days. As sun rises, the residents of Delhi walk to boost up their health by breathing fresh air, but in reality they are inhaling toxic chemicals like Benzene and carbon monoxide which is harmful for a human body. The anecdote is deadly even in evenings with pollutants silently creeping around. The chemical that are present in the air are 10 times acceptable level according to the experts, which can incurably affect the human heart, lungs respiratory system, brains, bones and blood cells.

It is not the first time in the world, Beijing based in China is too facing the same problem where the air pollution in Beijing has recently reached such toxic levels that the Chinese government is finally acknowledging the problem and is acting on it too. However, the air pollution in New Delhi has surpassed those in Beijing without any acknowledge of the government. This is not the first time that the pollution of Delhi has been outpaced that in China.

As per the experts from Centre of Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) in some parts of Delhi the level of Benzene is alarming at a higher note. High amount of Carbon monoxide has been detected in the areas around Punjab Bagh, Anand Vihar and IGI Airport, where the level of tiny particulars known as Particular Matter (PM) 2.5, the pollution in these areas are scoring 300 on the air quality index of 1- 500. These areas are highly toxicity with heavy traffic, especially of trucks and the benzene vapour from petrol pumps. Whenever the temperature falls down the level of Benzene is likely to rise, and since most of the areas of Delhi get colder than other parts of the capital the killer effect is enhanced in these areas.

Hence according to the experts, while inhaling toxic chemical like Benzene which is extremely lethal and gets mixed with the blood while breathing which in turn affects the heart, lungs, respiratory system, nervous system and even the brain, while when the level of Carbon Monoxide increases, it affect people suffering from cardiac ischemic disease, as the heart is deprived of adequate oxygen. These toxic chemicals are very risky for those whose immune system is very weak and those with cardiovascular disease can be vulnerable to strokes.
