Plywood Industry Round Up (05/06/17 to 10/06/17)

The absence of workers in wood panel, laminate and furniture industry has again proved to be a big reason for plunge in production nationwide. On account of manpower shortage the production of plywood industry has plunged by 40 percent recently.

The flow of wood panel orders was good during March and April but majority of manufacturers are missing the supply deadline because of labour crisis. Market players have said that after June second week sufficient manpower will be available.

As per report, the logging ban in Myanmar was lifted at the end of March 2017, and now government says it is on its way to bringing verified legal timber to the International market.

The plywood industry including timber suppliers in Uttar Pradesh are facing strict action from the authority after the newly formed state government. Majority of manufacturers are appreciating step taken by government and ready to buy and sell as per rules for a healthy growth.
