The paint production in India was around 4.25 million tonnes during 2015-16, in compare to previous year Indian paint sector registering a growth of 5%. During 2015-16 the per capita consumption of paints in India has been around 3.23 kgs, which is lower in compare to developed economies around the world.
As per the market report, the growth of Industrial paint dependent on the performance of the automotive industry, which is consuming estimated 45 % of industrial paints. The paint industry over decades has observers an expansion to 1.5 times the GDP growth of the country.
As per the market players, recently demand for paints is going up in India as on account of festive season end users are interested in decorative paints. Market players are working on the attractive products with lots of features which will win the customers trust and will enhance the sales volume.
Currently all the industry players are positive that in near term industry will attain remarkable growth with respective sales volume, said by market report.
