Shell plans to resume oil refinery by end of August

Royal Dutch Shell said plans to resume Europe's largest oil refinery by the end of August it was shut on 30th  July due to fire at a power plant.

Shell began restarting some units at the 404,000-barrels-per-day Pernis refinery in Rotterdam. We hope to restart most of our units before the end of August," a company spokesman said.

The restart comes after Shell engineers were able to restore some of the power supply through alternative sources. As per source no production units were damaged by the fire but some catalysts, used in upgrading units, will require replacing.
