The country’s leading oil distributor and refiner, Petron Corp is planning to invest more its refining capacity in Malaysia to produce petrochemicals and aromatics.
Currently the capacity of the refinery is 80,000 bpd and after expansion it will about 150,000 bpd, as per report.
Petron also intends to expand the capacity of its oil refinery in Limay, Bataan, Petron and San Miguel Corp.
In Bataan Petron’s oil refinery will likewise be expanded from 180,000 bpd day to 270,000 bpd.
