The Union Cabinet has permitted setting up of a $85.21 million joint venture firm for Iranian Chabahar port. This JV will include Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and Kandla Port Trust. An Indian joint venture firm will lease two fully constructed berths in Chabahar port’s Phase-I project for 10 years, and the lease can be renewed by means of mutual agreement.
