Egypt has proposed 3 petrochemical projects worth USD540 million to the UAE.
The proposed projects include a unit to produce bio-ethanol from molasses and the production capacity of this unit would be 100,000 tons of molasses.
Another project will be focused on setting up a plant for producing bio-ethanol from rice straw and this unit will have an annual capacity of 100,000 tons of rice straw.
The final project is expected to boost PVC production, and the plant is likely have an annual capacity of 40,000.
