If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices then it can be observed that the prices of Melamine (Standard) have increased and at the end of the week were assessed at the level of Rs. 126/Kg for Ahmedabad and Rs. 124/Kg for Mumbai port.

• This week in domestic market prices of Melamine standard and commercial quality have increased and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 126/Kg for Ahmedabad and Rs.124/kg for Mumbai ports and commercial quality were evaluated at Rs. 125/kg for Ahmedabad and Rs.123/kg for Mumbai.
• This week International Melamine standard and commercial prices have increased.
• As per market players on account of lesser material availability domestic melamine prices have improved.
• Recently in China and Iran melamine is available in lesser quantity while import demand has been increasing on account of this prices have increased.
• End user sectors demand also growing.
• US Q2 melamine negotiations to commence early March.
• China melamine prices will remain uncertain in the first quarter, with price movements to be led by production stability and output from China plants.
• Total imported quantity of IPA for the month of January 2017 was around 4415mt.
