According to sources, BASF is likely to bring its Toluene di Isocynate fully operational in the second quarter of 2018. The unit has the capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year and is based at Ludwigshafen. With addition of this quantity the demand will be further boosted in Europe. At present the Toluene prices are edging higher on back continuous surge in crude values. The hike has been particularly due to geopolitical tension among gulf national and constant fear of North Korea.
