JBF Petrochemicals, subsidiary of JBF Industries will soon start its PTA unit based at Mangalore. The plant has the production capacity of 1.25 million tones per year. Earlier the unit was commissioned in March this year but starting of unit has been continuously delayed. This unit has used British Petroleum's BP technology, known to be most cost effective and highly environment friendly. This is the single largest reactor train PTA plant.
