There has been decline in the prices for Phenol and Acetone in international market. This decline has been profusely due to fall in Benzene prices in Asian markets. CFR SEA prices for Phenol were assessed around USD 880/MT. On other side Benzene prices were assessed around CFR China USD 865/MT on last week’s closing but on Tuesday it reduced heavily by USD 90/MT and were assessed around USD 755-765/MT.
On other side Acetone prices crisis followed the same path.CFR China prices reduced by USD 15/MT and were assessed around USD 740/MT. This sliding of values has been due to weakening of Propylene values. CFR China prices for Propylene were assessed around USD 835/MT while FOB Korea were around USD 810/MTS in last week closing.
