Mexico based HDPE unit hasben shut down due to lack of feedstock i.e. Ethane and Ethylene. It has three lines of HDPE producing units,out of which only one was under operation.
Pemex performed maintenance on the steam cracker on December 28 and concluded the work on January 10. The company was heard starting up one LDPE line and then staggering the other one by a week. The Cangrejera based unit has the production capacity of 200,000/mt.
