German chemicals major BASF has declared force majeure on deliveries of butyl acrylate and ethyl acrylate from its site in Ludwigshafen in the month of October 2018. The production was put on halt due to the raw material supply via barge due to the very low water level of the river Rhine. The declining levels of river Rhine has affected heavily in the production of major petrochemicals in that region.
