Ineos Nitriles is continuing the force majeure on acrylonitrile supplies from its plants in Seal Sands, in the UK, and Cologne, in Germany. This force majeure will be lifted only in August end. The units have a capacity of 280,000 mt/year and 100,000 mt/year, respectively.
The Cologne plant will undergo a two-week planned maintenance in September, the source said. There is no spot material available in Europe at the moment, and I don't expect supply to improve in September-October," trader said. The exact start date was not confirmed.
