Formosa Chemicals and Fibre Corp, a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group (FCG) has experienced an explosion at its aromatic facility in Mailiao Township. The location of unit is at Yulin county in Taiwan. The explosion occurred due to cracked pipeline leaking liquefied petroleum gas. No casualties were reported. FCFC was fined about $162,000 by the county government due to the violation of air pollution regulations.
