China has taken retaliatory action against imposition of tariffs by US on imports of Chinese products. It would impose 5% and 10% tariffs on $60bn of US goods from 24 September 2018.
In its initial plant the Chinese government proposed a tariffs of 5%, 10%, 20% and 25% rates. Tariffs proposed earlier as 20% and 25% would be slashed to 10%, and that previously proposed for 5% and 10% would both apply 5% rates.
