India has already imposed anti-dumping duty on South Korea origin PTA. European Union filed anti-dumping investigation on PTA from South Korea. On Aug 11, 2016, China extended the anti-dumping duty on S.Korea-origin PTA. The situation is seems to getting tougher for South Korean PTA producers. It is reported that EU will announce the investigation results in May and if EU also levies anti-dumping duty, PTA industry in South Korea will be heavily damaged as EU is the major destination.
