There has been continuous rise in Acetone prices since last three weeks. The hike has been in particular due to tightened supply of the chemical. Spot prices were at Indian rupees (Rs) 42-43/kg ($590-604/tonne) ex-tank Kandla, up by Rs1-2/tonne from the previous week. The supply has been disrupted as one of the domestic manufacturers has stooped production due to water supply issues.
