Gas Technologies LLC has launched its first portable “Portable Mini-GTL production plant in an oil field in Kalkaska County. Fully operational and a the potential to serve as a demonstration site for the company’s existing and future clients has increased the importance of this innovative project. This plant stands as the world’s first and the only single-step gas-to-liquid producing plant.

The thought behind establishing this project was to reduce the harmful effects of the wasteful practice of flaring. Majority of the oil wells produce natural gas, however when there is no pipeline to get the gas to market, oil drillers burn that gas off. This process is known as flaring and results in wastage of gas- gas which can be used for constructive purposes.

The plant is expected to continue production at the current site until November, after which the plant will be relocated to a permanent location outside Dallas, Texas. The successful launch of this plant has become a groundbreaking achievement for this company. Despite success of thier Mobile Trailer pilot plant, this plant's successful launch will contribute to the commercialization of their technology, and also provide engineering and design information required to help the company new $25 million commercial plant situated on its gas field in Barnett Shale formation. With the first and one of its kind single-step process in the world the company will be able to further prove its worth and potential.

Initially, the project was to produce 43 barrels per day of GasTechno chemicals- greater output at a lower cost compared to their competitors. Later on due to demands for a smaller system at a lesser cost- a plant that would serve demonstration purposes. Thus the Portable Mini-GTL plant produces 4 barrels per day by spending nearly $800,000.

The plant with modified and improved process converts and monetizes flared or stranded natural gas, biogas, coal mine methane, and landfill gas at a smaller scale.

GasTechno has a dedicated team of experts who have removed major difficulties and helped make this project a roaring suceess. Thier Mobile Trailer pilot plant along with the Portable Mini-GTL proprietary technology has mechanized this plant, which has over 60 electronic devices. This plant enclosed within 25-foot is the first of its kind in the chemical industry and is sure to give the company an edge over its competitors.
